Posted - Feb 14 2009 : 09:31:03 AM Now that's a deal!
We used to od that w/ our neighbors. I'd swap out eggs or jelleis for her bread. Boy that was good.
These days it's a dozen eggs for Dunkin' Donut Holes. There isn't a singlel one around us, but a work buddy passes one every day.
So she gets eggs, and i get donut holes.
Which BTW freeze nicely, so I can put them out of sight and enjoy slowly |

Posted - Feb 12 2009 : 6:10:08 PM Actually that is exactly what my sister and I have worked out. She gives me all kinds of delicious bread in exchange for my eggs! I think I get the better end of the deal actually. I just have to collect the eggs once a day, she has to do all the baking! :) |

Posted - Feb 12 2009 : 11:40:19 AM Thank you ladies. I never know about this barter stuff. I was hoping a neighbor would be willing...at least until I get the gumption to give a few hens a go on my own! Bread I can do....raising chickens? Not so confident!!! |

Posted - Feb 11 2009 : 5:03:19 PM That sounds more than fair to me. If I had hens I would take a loaf of bread for a dozen.
