Posted - Jan 21 2009 : 07:38:37 AM Hi Farm Girls! I have compiled some cute pictures of alpacas, pronking. This is like alpacas' version of skipping. It's what they do when they are happy. http://www.alpacafarmgirl.com/2009/01/pronking/
Hope it brightens your day! Katy

Posted - Jan 22 2009 : 11:45:25 AM Too Funny Katy! Alpacas are such strange looking creatures to me. Those loooooong skinny necks and that knob head... like creatures form outerspace!!! But OHHHH!!! They ARE adorable!!! Love those big expressive eyes and the way they stare into your own when they look at you --- So I did not mean that description in an offensive way! I'm used to looking at sheep and goats! (...and horses, chickens, ducks, cats, dogs, a goose, my pot bellied pig (in fact, I can't even SEE her eyes!!!) .... well, you get the picture) Thanks for sharing!

Posted - Jan 21 2009 : 08:42:07 AM Adorable. My sister wants to raise alpacas. When my niece graduates (in three years) they are planning on moving to South Carolina and starting an alpaca farm. I will tell her that there is one more endearing quality to alpacas- pronking!! That should cement the decision!
