Wow. This even stumped my boss and she's been hatching out chickens for over 25 years! Too funny tho.... I got here too late but I envision a poof of feathers if and when they do.....I can see them stretching thier necks and their eyes bulging a little and then...POOF! They flop back on their little hineys and sigh with relief! Hilarious!

Life should NOT be a jounrey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, latte in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming. "WOOHOO, what a ride!"

Oh my Lisa...... This is a funny thread, I really hope your chickens are not in Pain if they do....
actually I was coming here to ask if anyone knows if Chickens feet are loaded with clay mud if they will clean them off themselves or not..I hope Will be ok? Today was the first time they were allowed out of their caged in pen to the grassy lawn & they went straight for the MUD.. They all look like they are wearing flippers... I hope they will scratrch it off.. Or they have glued on pads....oh my.

Okay, if they do, does it look like a pillow fight if a whole bunch of them do it? Keep an eye on the business end and watch for fluffy feathers.

Thanks you guys; my friend Linda says they do, I just hope they do, or else the projectile eggs may become a reality tomorrow!! I know all other animals I have had do; my Great Dane Nixon could easily clear a room; heck, he could clear Yankee Stadium.

I don't know if CHICKENS fart, but just about every OTHER barnyard critter does! Sheep, goats, cats, dogs... Especially HORSES! I have one that is VERY "Musical" (LOL!!)

But, like Karin said-- be on the lookout for "egg launchers" -- Just in case!
