Hello farmgirls, it's Mildred here, seems I have finally convinced my "Human" to let me join in on the fun. It seems only fitting since I'm AM a FarmGirl myself! As far as the typing thing goes, don't you human gals act so shocked that a turkey can type, I may not type 90 words a mintue, but the term "hunt and peck" WAS created just for us Turkey's didn't ya know? I mean, after all, it's what we do (Gobble-Gobble)! The story of how I came to live with the Swan family isn't as funny as my Humans think it is. I simply decided that the first camper that I saw with the word "SUCKER" written across their forehead would be my new Human!! Simple as that! As for the rest of my flock that got dumped in the woods by our previous Humans...well, lets just say that not ALL Turkeys are as intelligent as I, if you get my drift. And the ride home in the back of the truck....What FarmGirl doesn't like the feel of the wind in her hair? So, that pretty much sums up the story of how I came to be part of the Swan family. Now, lets talk Turkey!! I overheard my Human talking about posting some rather personal information about a bad habit of mine on this FarmGirl Forum thing. Lets get something straight here. This is the way I see it....You Humans have your vices and bad habits, and us Turkeys have ours. Rest assured that you will never hear one complaint or judgement call come out of my beak about anything yall do. And besides, atleast my nicotine habit doesn't produce any nasty second hand smoke!! Well FarmGals, I'd love to stay and gobble, but I have an appointment at an all you can eat buffet, and I don't want to be late! Will POST again soon, Sincerly, FarmGirl Mildred

Well, hello again girls, I know it's been a while since you all have heard from me, but ya'll know how depressing the winter months can be! And winter really effects the choices on my all you caneat buffet. I must admit though, there is nothing better on a cold winter day than being able to sit in the sunroom with my two year old human and share peanut butter on a spoon with him!! It's so delicious! Sure, he usually smears gobs of it all over my back and neck when he's petting me, but I figure that since he's nice enough to share it with me, that I won't complain! And yeah, when he picks me up and wags me around the yard, it is quite uncomfortable, but he really loves me. And since he shares his peanut butter, popcorn, cherrios, grapes, and bananas with me, the least I can do is let him do is have a little fun by putting me in his little red wagon or try and put me on the swing. Those human kids are pretty great!! Fred the rooster dosen't seem to appriciate them as much, but I guess that is his loss. Oh, and about my human owners.....now that woman is talking about putting some kind of poultry diaper on me and galavanting all over the country with me for some thing called FarmGirls on the Loose.....gobble gobble.....I think I can handle going and having a good ole' time with a bunch of you gals, but the diaper thing??? Come on, help me out a little and try and talk her out of it!!! I mean, honestly, a turkey wearing a diaper sitting in a 1950's canned ham?????? Just ridiculous!!! Well, I must go, I hear peanut butter on a spoon calling my name!!!! I will post agin soon!! Farm Girl Mildred

Oh, sure gals, I have thought about publishing a book about my life, but I just don't have the time right now, and am fixing to be busier than ever with springand summer coming up. So many bugs, so little time!!! I can't wait! Alee, no, my humans haven't found me a beau yet. Fred is pretty handsome for a rooster, but golly he is obnoxious!! I like my men to have a ittle more cooth than that rooster has, and quite honestly, I prefer the big, dark and hansome types!!! Like maybe a handsome Spaniard! Maybe a black Spanish with a good blood line, and manners, he has to have manners!!! I guess I'll just be lonely in love until the right one comes along....thank goodness I'm still young and firm and sexy! Until next time!!! Mildred

Dawn...you don't think hot pink would make me look fat, do you? I mean....I'm kinda on the market and lookin' for a tall dark and handsome Spaniard tom....but I hear men like bright colors, suposedly they're "sexy" and "in" right now. A spring fad you think? I might have to try those hot pants out....I must admit that I have very nice legs, I guess I have that going for me! Squalk To You Later..Mildred

Ohhhh...Mildred please do tell more. I love to hear about your adventures with the Swan family. How you just adore the family and they adore you. I live in the city now but as a child we use to have a goat that followed the dogs around and he too came into the house a few times through the dog door. I'm ever so curious about your life and how it is on the Swan's farm!
Thanks for all the inside dish!
