Howdy girls,
I am just beside myself. I sold a puppy a few weeks ago and I always hope that I am selling to a good person. but this person kept it for 2 weeks and then he said because it peed on his bed he dropped it off to a adoption agency. I tried to even buy it back from them but they think we breeders even though I only have a couple of litters a year and my dogs are all very well taken care , well I am a breeder so I am scum in these organizations eyes. They get a mind set and can;t change it. I sent them references of people for my character but they just said I was harassing them. I did not mean to come across in that manner at all. I just wanted the puppy back .. I was planning on just keeping it so it would not have to go through anything like this again and it had already been neutered so I told them it can't even be breed so that was not my intention either. I just wanted to make sure it was ok. I take my responsibility for these animals very strongly. I just could not change their mindset about me. I just feel soo bad that this poor thing had to go through this. I am just beside my self and down in the dumps about it. They also sold it for 4 times what I asked for it. and like I said I would have paid that to get it back. I am just so worried about it. I had to finally give it all up to God and figure he will work it all out. I just hope and pray this little guy is ok!!! thanks for listening,,, I just had to vent a little.

I have a newfie too. and I would never think of putting her out in the barn so I know what you mean there...Mine is just the best
Well thanks for all the nice things you guys said. I just feel like I put so much of myself into this living being and for some one to treat it that way. Just heart breaking.... I am letting God handle it cause he will do what is best for it. and I am a firm believer what goes around comes around....

Aw Bev, sorry! You know that saying "you can't fix stupid?"... Don't you just feel like that is so true some times. What did the guy expect for getting a puppy....Gesh!

How absolutely awful. poor little doggie, poor Beverley, you have both been put through the wringer. I just hope the dog has found a loving home. People can be so disappointing. I have a friend who has Newfies, and in the last five years she's had three litters, and my friend has sold the puppies to good homes. But the vetting process, people are so weird, one person said Yeah we figured the dog could live in the barn...and when my friend explained to them what social dogs Newfoundlands are and how they prefer to be treated like a member of the family rather than a barnyard pal, the people just couldn't understand. I'm so sorry you had to go through this...
