Posted - Nov 05 2008 : 09:57:21 AM Well my worms just had a population explosion! My bin is producing wonderful juice for the house plants, I just need to keep the little guys warm enough in the garage. It's been in the low 20's here for over a week now! Teens before that. I don't want frozen worms!

Posted - Nov 05 2008 : 3:44:43 PM Hi Jo, maybe you could do what we do to keep the chill off of little one's a heat lamp on a timer that will turn it on and off so you do not have to watch it. Another thing a friend on mine did was built a poly foam box and put house insulation doubled on the bottom and single on the sides and top. It kept his worms snug as a bug - sorry for the lame pun.
I have been considering starting up my bins again - are you sure your not peeking in my brain??
