I thought since you all are animal people here you might enjoy my new project. It is 'A Horse Painting a Day' in which I paint as complete a painting as possible in a days time. Obviously in this time frame the goal is not to pack as much detail in as possible but to get the essense and give enough information the viewer can then fill in the blanks. It sounds simple but is actually a challenge to know how far to go and be as efficient as possible with my brushstrokes to convey form, light, expression etc.. So I am inviting you to watch as I go along on this journey. It may evolve also into a horse (dog, cat, bird, goat, person) painting a day (or so). I'm not very good at sticking to one thing. :)

I am inviting people also who have fun, clear, interesting photos of animals to submit them for my consideration. There is no obligation on either end if you decide to submit a photo-- you don't have to buy the finished painting and by submitting a photo I use does not mean the painting is yours- unless you want to buy it.

So if you have cute animal pics or just want to watch the process stop by my blog at http://www.amulti-coloredlife.blogspot.com

Hi Sue,

Howard OH is near Mt. Vernon and about an hour or so from you. I'll see what I can find in pictures.

I posted an overview of the week's paintings on my blog. I also just finished a new horse painting-- 1 or 1/2 hours to complete of a draft horse.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Another buckeye!! Hi! Where is Howard, Ohio?

I loved your web site. Your dogs are beautiful!! A cute little pup would make a great model for my painting a day!!! Do you have any photos you care to share for that purpose? I'd be glad to post a link on my blog as to where the pup came from. Let me know what you think!

I am going to do a painting of one of Tracy's mustangs. Tracy posts here often. I may do that one tomorrow so if anyone sees Tracy send her this way! :)

Hi Sue,

What a talent you have. I can't wait to see the finished picture! I love visiting Kidron, especially Lehmans!
