Actually she is starting to grow back the new feathers. But man does she look terrible. She is probley 3 years old, maybe 4.

Posted - Oct 15 2008 : 10:34:46 AM My hens are heavy into the molt. Also not laying many eggs. My pullets are beginning to lay so last night we started culling the hens. A neighbor came and got 5 of them. Now on the way to the stew pot. Tocos and enchilidas more likely. We don't eat our hens. Just don't seem right. But then, I guess I have never been really hungry. |
