I just read an e- mail passed along from the lady we buy our wholistic pet food from
If ANY of you have a rubber ball made by the Four Paws compaany and it does not have a second hole TOSS IT IMMEDIATELY!
The ball is a pimple ball with bell item # 20227-001 UPC -045663202279
The story reads about a lab whose toungue got sucked inot the hole. the tongue swelled so bady that the dog had to be sedated in order for the vets to remove the ball. The tongue swelled so much the following day that the dog needed a feeding tube
I was too stricken to finish reading the story, but the dog ended up dying!
PLEASE,PLEASE check your dog toys and toss this or any other such ball with only one hole
May i recommend Planet Dog Foundation Their dog toys are real rubber, not the toxic PVC and the balls they sell each have 2 holes
Your dogs will be safer and its for a good cause |

Anna, thank you for the posting, you dont know how many dogs you saved. Its too bad for the one who had to die to let us all know soemthign was'nt safe.

Oh my..I know we don't have a ball like that (my bassets are too lazy to play with balls) but I will sure spread the word!

Thanks SO MUCH for posting this! I know my Nitty has a ball out in the yard and I will check tomorrow. That's awful! thanks for the recommendation too about Planet Dog Foundation. I have had dogs all my life but this is the first one that ever wanted toys! And she's a Rottweiler too....she loves her toys and really plays with them! Again...thank you so much!
I hope that dog and others are okay...what an awful thing to happen.
