Posted - Aug 20 2008 : 8:24:47 PM I got his book from the flea market, "Mary Ellen's Best of Helpful Hints", published in 1979. This is what it says about fleas on dogs: *If you place some fresh pine needles in his doghouse or underneath his bed pad, fleas will flee; *Or, salt the crevices of his dog house and wash him periodically with salt water, fleas will flee.
I think I'll try the salt option first. Marly |

Posted - Aug 21 2008 : 3:46:17 PM mmm... Our dog houses are under a pine tree. They have TONS of pine needles and also tons of fleas if we don't treat them every few weeks.
