My boer doe Angelina who joined a friend's herd last February had twin babies today! A doe and a little buck- I am thrilled because the baby girl will come live in my herd in spring next year. :)
I am looking for names and no- Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon will SO not work. ;-)
I wanted to name the girl after the friend where they are now but Oliver protests loudly that I name a goat Olivia or Olive Oil.
Another friend suggested Sunday Roast, in homage to Nicole Kidman's baby girl. Ahem.
I would like to keep the A name tradition going as I have Angelina's first baby girl in my own herd and her name is Anne.
Ideas for the baby girl? My friend will keep the buck and name him but I get to choose for the girl!

How about Adeline, Amelia, or Aurora?

"Ascolano" a cultivar of Olive...
Very large, ellipsoidal fruit. Skin color very light even when ripe, pit very small. Fruit is tender and must be handled carefully.

Just getting creative here, thinking of Olive and Starting with A...

She was born in "August" right? How 'bout THAT? (or Augustus-- I Know it can be a BOYS name too) I have a ewe named Audrey and a little lamb named Annie. Have you checked the Baby name books? There are LOTS of "A" names in those! ~~~ Tracy

PS- Congrats on the babies!!!

congrats!!! I have nigerian goats and had 2 sets of twins and single this year. I kept one little girl and her name is angel. Make sure you play with her often to get her people friendly. I had to bottle feed Angel cause her mom would not feed her so I think I have one that may just be way to friendly... She likes to be rocked in a rocking chair.!! Do you think she is spoiled?!! hehehehe Bev

Nadine- The fact that you said you had the goat named Anne is what made me think of using the older Victorian names!

Well, technically a meat goat only we won't eat her. She's just a cuddly floppy ear goat to pet and feed.
