Posted - Jun 30 2008 : 5:42:08 PM Our Angora doe Raine had a baby doeling on Saturday. Annie Laurie is our first baby of any kind on the farm.
It had looked like we weren't getting any babies this year, but not only was Raine pregnant, but it appears that the others are too!
Wowee!

Posted - Jul 16 2008 : 10:24:37 PM no but the ones that are coming are related to some of these... The ones I am bringing you are their parents, I think. I can remember what they looked like...I don't think I got a good look at them while I was there - it was all a bit overwhelming that day... She had some gorgeous bunnies!
I also found someone who has some SATIN ANGORA kits that will be available in August. She has 3 left and I would like two, I think. Would you like the third? I can pick them up at the same time...

Posted - Jul 01 2008 : 08:03:33 AM Oh Happy Day Erin!!! Goat kids are so much fun!! I have 3 Nigerian Dwarf kids so far-- just turning one month old this week. They're such a HOOT!! I have another doe due to kid ANY SECOND now (she looks HUGE & miserable!) and 4 more does later this month.
So far, the does have all been first time moms and they are doing EXCELLENT with their babies--- though we did lose one. Only thing is-- we didn't even know there WAS another kid! (I had 2 does due around the same day. They were both pretty big, but one had twins, the other had a SMALL kid (and she is a larger doe than the one who had twins) so I had my suspicions that there WAS another kid somewhere. But I never found it) My LGD had been acting VERY funny for a few days. Finally he got so frustrated he brought the kid into the barn and left it right were I couldn't miss it. Sad to lose any, but the ones that make it are such a JOY!!!! Have fun with the babies and I wish you a happy, joyful kidding season! Hugs to you and the new "baby" ~~~ Tracy
PS I have a "Annie" too-- only MY Annie is a Black Babydoll lamb--- SO SWEET!!!!
