Does anyone have ideas on how to trap a fox. We think a fox was the murderer of my pet hen. All that was left of her was a few feathers.

Thanks for suggestions,
Janet

Janet, you can always contact your local Animal Control Unit and see if they have any suggestions. Where we live, it's perfectly leagal to shoot them, though I really don't like the thought of that-- but there are just SO MANY foxes, Coyotes, Raccoons, skunks and Opossums in our area that even the trappers will take the animals out and dispose of them, rather than releasing them elsewhere. Hope you catch that wiley critter!

Might try a have-a-heart trap baited w/ a scrap of meat

Those are the live traps you can find at some farm/feed stores

Sorry for the loss

Generally when a fox strikes they will only take the head and leave the body. Could be a raccoon, but you never know

good luck
