Posted - Jun 11 2008 : 5:46:06 PM I so wished you lived in my neck of the woods - you and yours would be welcome to come and hugs, kiss, play and enjoy all the furry four legged here at the farm. My youngest son who lives in the city now had to plunk down alot for his chinchilla. I helped him out with the funds because my boys are like I am - can not live without our furry friends. My heart goes your way and just remember if you every around here your welcome to hugg some sweet ones. Hope soon your will be able to swing it. Stay strong.

Posted - Jun 10 2008 : 08:00:16 AM That's too bad, Corrine... I can completely relate. I have to pay a $200 pet deposit to keep my kitty in this rental I'm applying for. Hope eventually something works out for you!

Posted - Jun 10 2008 : 07:02:13 AM Just a thought...if you really want a cat, you might look at the classifieds and see if anyone is desparate to give an older cat away (because of a sudden move, etc.) If the cat is already neutered and up to date on shots, it would be less of a cost upfront. |

Posted - Jun 09 2008 : 09:18:56 AM I'm sorry. That is really expensive. Maybe they'll change the policy down the road.

Posted - Jun 08 2008 : 07:44:12 AM Hi Corrine...yes, that is sad, indeed
That's alot of what is going on here in the city, as well. I understand that the landlords are trying to keep pet damage costs covered but, I think in the case of cats, the deposits may exceed the possible damage so that it discourages people from getting furry feline friends.
Good luck in your quest for a friend
