Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep birds from building bird's nests in our truck engines? We've been here a couple of years and this is the first Spring we've had this problem. The birds look like Grackles and they just won't leave our trucks alone.

I have a fake owl that I've been putting all around the truck but those darn birds seem to eventually figure out that the owl isn't real! Smart birds for sure.... My husband just ordered a battery operated owl that has a motion detector...apparently it hoots, rotates it's head around like in the movie 'The Exorcist' and has a strobe light. LOL, I'm hoping that will do it!

Or you could place a fake owl on the hood of your truck as a hood ornament. It would get lots of attention, and perhaps scare the grackles. :)

Or sticky? Like maybe duct tape rolled up sticky-side out, that would catch them, but not harm them. Good luck!

I wonder if there is something stinky you could spray on your hood or something to make them want to stay away?
