All the little creatures that are losing their lives each day- from the busy bee to the lack of insects and birds, larger mammals, etc. I would really love someday to have enough land to establish as a sanctuary. I feel just awful when I here that some little creature is going extinct. I put out a bunch of flowers and I stay out of natural habitats. What else can a farmgal do???

Heather-

One of the best things you can do is to plant a "bee and butterflies" garden- organic of course. Plant lots of native flowers, and when you have space to do so, planting things like sunflowers and fruit trees help provide both homes for insects and birds as well as food. I had birds in my yard all winter eating the apples from our tree!
