So hubby goes to the smoke house last night to start a fire. We know about the chickens that got eaten a few weeks back and about the missing cat food.

Well, as hubby was rummaging around in the wood pile, he happened upon the biggest possum I have ever seen!! I was in the house and heard thunping carrying on outside. I kept thinking, what the heck is going on out there!?

He came in the house, told me to come out and take a look.

sure enough

So the poor possum was done away with

Scary ting is, my new chicks are in the same building....just raised up off the floor about 3 feet. Think I'll keep the catfood down and sacrifice this rather than my poor chickies just in case something else comes lurking.

Hmmm, that possum might be pretty tasty since he's been feeding on some healthy chickens and cat food...glad you were able to identify the culprit and take action accordingly.
