Well, my daughter is getting back in the swing of things. She rented my old facilities (I had them 15 +/- years ago) and putting the place back together, like roof and walls and footings, etc, to rent out. She figures to make at least her rent outside of paying for the horses. I helped her put together a contract.
The owner has let the place fall apart and gave her a good deal. He remembered me from years ago and is happy to have her. She is getting back to basics with horses and I'm happy as a clam! My granddaughter is now part owner of my Gigi. My second to youngest grandson is into bugs and things you find out in the pasture. Drives my daughter to distraction trying to keep up with him!
We are getting on so well now, it's almost like old times. She still has nightmares and wakes up angry but is the best mom going and pulls herself together.
Someone told her to get over it and I can't WAIT to get into them! I told her God gave her these emotions and she has to work thru it. Don't ignore it and pretent things are fine. So the horses are a great way to work thru things.
The baby is fine and loud! I'm just a proud granny!!

I've been off the net for a while but I realized that I had posted about my daughter on the Family board. My daughter lost her husband last June (an accident) and in Sept gave birth to their son. Plus she has 3 other of my grandkids. My daughter pushed everyone away for a while but is now coming back around to herself and getting interested in life. She rode for me when little plus for others and got away from horses for a long time. Now she is 'back', sort of.
I'm on my way to her home (my old training barn) right now. She got the barn reroofed and fixed up the round pen.
Horses are bringing her back to the land of the living. YAHOOO!!!

Oh, how exciting!
I've told DD that you can't experience the pinnacles of joy until you've experienced the depths of despair... She tends to be somewhat moody  Horses are the best therapy for any of us!
