Posted - Oct 16 2007 : 11:13:14 PM I received an email tonight about a mustang that needs a home. He's four or five, they aren't sure. Supposedly he'd been ridden before they got him, but they haven't ridden him. He was taken on by a young woman who is now in college; she'd rescued him from another situation where he hadn't been fed and has put 200 lbs on him.
I'm waiting for photos; the dad didn't know how to put them into his email
There are more mustangs out there than you can shake a stick at, from brood mares to young horses who have been left in backyards and are barely touchable. I've got room for one, but I need help covering costs as I've already got Sunny.
It costs $10 week for hay, approx. $40 per month. I need to be able to have enough hay paid for to last the next three months before even considering taking on this horse. From what they say, he sounds like he could be a wonderful 4-H horse with a little work.
If you think you could help out by buying a weeks worth of hay, or a months worth...or if you know of a 4-H or FFA club that might be willing to help out, would you please email me? Or visit the website and just click on one of the links that will take you to paypal.
