This is Eve, my surprise. Mamma was not swelled up, or sunk down yesterday, so figured no calf for tonight!! Summer had other ideas I guess. My husband thought of the name, and I said no we can't, but it has stuck. Eve is a pretty name. Summer's Eve ~ We will skip the Summer part though!!
Sorry about this being huge, At least I got a picture up.

Oh - Eve is just DARLING! It reminds me of when my Evelyn was just a baby. The DO look so much like little fawns, don't they? COGRATULATIONS to you and her mama!

Yes Tracey, it is white spots you see on a purebred Jersey! Go figure! Mamma has some spots too, like I said they are purebred. The people I bought her from, quit registering their animals cause of the cost. Eve is doing well, and got to explore her outside world today. Of course she squeezed though some gates, and we had to spend 5 minutes looking for her this morning. She was laying sleeping in another pasture.

Eve is adorable...and I've got to ask, with that white I see, is she a Guernsey? She looks dark like a Jersey, but her mamma looks lighter...

thanks girls. Eve is doing well. I did not think she was ever going to get the hang of eating. She is stuborn little bugger. Mamma is fine too.

awwwwwwww what a great find!!! dont you love new mamas and how they hover over their babes!? It's across the board too, no matter the animal, us, chickens, cows, cats, etc. I love it!
