I adore those birds, hands down my favorite heavy breed and possibly my favorite hen of them all! Mine is so calm I can scoop her up and have her coo in my arms. She also comes when i call her name! I'd say she lays 4-6 eggs a week now that she's three, but was laying an egg a day for nearly 2 years!!

Judy...ROFLOL!!! You are so funny! Just the thought of hens spitting watermelon seeds

My husband was thinking he would like a brahma, are they sweet tempered? I love the picture and am so happy to know they like watermelon! Something else I am learning before I get my little hen house together!! Let me know on the Brahma when you gat a chance please!
Thank you and thanks for sharing!
Hugz!

Love the picture! Your buff is especially pretty. My hens love watermelon, also. Although I have yet to find much that they DON'T like! :)

From what I can see, the the Hen Ann Coulter is a stunner. Hopefully she's not quite as hated in the barnyard as her namesake

Do they prefer it chilled or just room temp? LOL
