Posted - Jul 13 2007 : 07:19:03 AM could be causing my poor Lukes (3years old yellow lab)head to bobble. He's not shaking it, it just trembles. Started yesterday when he was laying down on the couch and continued off and on all day. Took him in to the vet and they checked him over said everything looked and felt good so they are doing blood work and we will have the results back today. This is really scary to me, we lost a lab to cancer 3 years ago and I just cannot go through that again. Thanks, Kathy |

Posted - Jul 18 2007 : 05:51:24 AM Great news. As long as there is something to help, that's all you could want, right? Varying thyroid levels in humans cause weird things, so it would make sense that it would be the same in our pets!
Best of luck to your boy!!!!

Posted - Jul 18 2007 : 01:36:27 AM Alee Thanks for checking in on my precious Luke. He's doing pretty well a couple more episodes of bobble head but other than that he is doing well. Hugs, Kathy |

Posted - Jul 14 2007 : 10:49:14 AM Thanks Jonni As it turns out Luke has a low thyroid level. Who would of thought. Anyhow the trembling has stopped and if it starts again he will be put of thyroid meds. We also have his brother and he is fine but he is the one that looks like he has a thyroid problem, both of them are big boys weighing in at 96 pounds. Hugs, Kathy |

Posted - Jul 13 2007 : 07:28:11 AM We had a friend who's dog had a similar situation...it was called....some type of palsy. It was neuroligical, but not deadly, and just required some meds. This dog saw things "sideways".
Just wait and see what the vet says--they know best, and it's completely understandable to be afraid, but try to think super good thoughts!!!!
I'm thinking of you and your pup!
