My backyard birdfeeding area has become the most entertaining area around. We have baby woodpeckers, nuthatches, chickadees, blue jays, tufted titmouse, and phoebes. And they are all doing the SAME thing-as soon as one of the mommas gets some food, all her "kids" take off after her begging for it-and most of them are pretty big! It is just so funny watching these "gangs" of birds zooming around begging for food!

That is so funny! I wonder if the momma birds get sick of their babies begging? Do the momma birds still feed the little ones?

I love birding! We have a clutch of baby catbirds swooping around in the pines behind our house. I cannot believe all the birds we have on three measly acres, either! Common yellowthroats, yellow warblers, orioles, phoebes, three kinds of woodpeckers, some crazy kind of vireo, thrushes, goldfinches, bluebirds, swallows...totally amazing and SO much fun to watch! I am so glad to see another birder on here!
