Posted - May 18 2007 : 1:06:34 PM LOL ok ..by the way..have heard that the muscovies make great momma ducks and great pets..only thing is I never liked the bubbles on their heads ,although I do like the irridescent /black-green feathers they can get.
anyhow....basically it was an article about the saying that "a duck's quack doesn't echo" and then this research at a University was done in a special sound room that found that indeed it does..but it is not audible to the human ear..but the machines did catch an echo..
just thought it was interesting as my mother in law had asked me if I had ever heard the saying that a duck's quack will not echo...this reasearch proved that it does..we just can't hear it.
nothing real spectacular..just fun to know for a "so something new to share" ha.
