Posted - Apr 28 2007 : 7:34:33 PMI put some eggs in the incubator just before leaving on vacation. Wasn't holding out much hope on hatching, since they need to be hand turned. Had to trust Geek Boy with the job for the week we were away, plus I've found it's a great deal more reliable with the automatic turners.
Today was the hatch day and I've heard no peeping or pecking. But...this afternoon the peeps have begun! So perhaps...perhaps by tomorrow I'll have chickie babies!
Posted - Apr 29 2007 : 5:59:28 PMDarling has been taking videos of the hatching and the new peepers; we'll get it all online tonight. All I've got on the blog right now is a pic of an open egg. Not very many guesses for how many chicks, though!
