Does this forum participate in RSS feeds? I have a few other forums I belong to that do and its so much easier to keep track of the new posts that way.

Yes. That is why I would prefer the RSS feed. I can wait on those. :)

We currently do not have an RSS feed set up for this forum. Looking around, plug-ins have been made to enable RSS feeds for Snitz forums, so when I have a moment, I could add that functionality in.

Otherwise, there's still the good ol' subscriptions method available (having notifications sent to you via email).

An option there could be to have the subscription emails sent to your RSS feed. However, looking around briefly, such services seem few and far between. (Make sure to look for "emails to RSS feed" and not the inverse; there's plenty about "RSS feeds to email", which is not helpful in this case.) I've not used any of those services, though, so I can't vouch for them or how well they'll work.
