Posted - Jan 04 2012 : 5:38:00 PM Hello, Perhaps it is just me or my computer but I can visit every forum on MJF Connection but Barnyard Buddies (my favorite). This is what I get from Norton when I click on the Barnyard forum:
Suspicious Web Page Blocked

Any idea what is going on? Thank you! Meg |

Posted - Jan 11 2012 : 2:17:36 PM That's okay. Good to hear, actually.
Apparently we'll just have 3-day intervals between responses. |

Sorry for lack of response, I was away for a few days. Barnyard Buddies is working great now, no longer blocked. Thank you for your help!

Posted - Jan 05 2012 : 12:12:30 PM Which specific Norton product are you using (Norton 360, Norton Internet Security 2012/2011/2010, an older Norton Antivirus)?
Which component of that reported the issue, can you tell (SafeWeb, Auto-Protect [a window popping up reporting a suspicious file])? |

Posted - Jan 05 2012 : 12:05:54 PM Just found this at Norton Safe Web, safeweb.norton.com .
I entered in the Barnyard Buddies category ( http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/snitz/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=20 ) specifically at: http://safeweb.norton.com/ (I couldn't directly make the returned report a link without the chatroom messing it up)
Still looking to see if I can find anything else specific.

Posted - Jan 05 2012 : 11:42:01 AM Hello, Meg:
I'm not seeing any signs that our site (or that one forum on our Chatroom, Barnyard Buddies) is infected in any way.
Google's not listing anything on maryjanesfarm.org as flagged for malware. I'm looking into how I might find out with Norton whether they have a list of flagged sites or not.
It may be there is a specific post containing something that Norton decided was questionable - not so much an issue that it actually found spyware/malware, but that its algorithms decided something was iffy. However, I find it strange that it did it for an entire category, and not a specific post.
Does it give you the option to let you decide whether to proceed or not? or to "unblock" it? Does it have any options to provide a more detailed description that you can then give to me, so I might see what it's catching on? |
