Posted - Apr 06 2009 : 3:05:55 PM I have tried several times to send application for my merit badges,. Two went through fine yesterday , the sewing & craft one for collecting buttons and for making a starter sewing kit...but again today I type everything in and post the jpeg photo and do not get a confirmation message that says Thank you etc... message. It goes back to a blank application. I am trying to do the garden gate Backyard farmer and heirloom seeds neigher will process. Yesterday I applied for Button up.. It worked fine.. has anyone else had this problem? Cheryl

I did get 3 submissions for badges from you. So they all went through fine, but on the other hand, I haven't been able to get to them for a long while.
I keep trying... hopefully it won't be long.

I processed a Sew Wonderful badge on the 18th of March, 1 prior to that, and 2 others since then (that you should've received emails for, all 4). I have 2 sitting and waiting in the queue since the 1st of April.
So thaaaaat'sss ... 6 total I have received from you. |

Posted - Apr 07 2009 : 12:20:06 PM Gabe is there anyway of checking to see if the ones I previously submitted actually went through. Some have been since 3/19 so don't want to resubmit if they went. I just don't remember at this time if I received a confirmation or not.

Posted - Apr 07 2009 : 10:35:26 AM Hello all:
It's most likely entirely the "Captcha" on the page. The "Captcha" is the image towards the bottom containing a set of letters/numbers that you're supposed to retype. For whatever reason, it seems to be more difficult than other ones I've used. It will only display numbers (0-9) and A-F (all capitalized) in the images (just so you know). If you submit it successfully you should see a confirmation page. If not, then you're put back on the page with no ability to correct your mistake and the form wiped clean. So, for now, I would suggest opening a separate text editor, whether it's simply Notepad or TextEdit, or something like Word; then after filling in the form fields, copy out the story portions ("What did you do to earn this badge?" etc.) and paste them into the text editor, so you at least won't have to retype those if submitting the form fails. Next, is to make absolutely certain that the Captcha gets typed correctly. I know that sometimes the "E" and the "F" can be hard to distinguish, and like the note says, it's always a zero, never an Oh. It's also always a one, never an ell or other letter. Third, is to make sure to submit any photos in .jpg format for now.
AND, I'm going to see what I can get going for improving that form so it's more user friendly, and not so hacker unfriendly that it gets us, too. Thanks for being so patient with it. I know it has been frustrating. |

Posted - Apr 07 2009 : 06:25:49 AM Cheryl I have had problems, the last three or four badges I sent in never went through and I know Dawn sent like 12 in and they didn't go through. It is very discouraging because I don't have a lot of extra time I can redo them in.

Posted - Apr 06 2009 : 3:20:46 PM I would get that when I typed the code at the bottom wrong. I finally read the fine print that told the O were capital O not zeroes or vice versa.
