Posted - Feb 17 2009 : 11:42:49 AM Just wondering if its a possiblity within the threads/topics to have something like a sticky note to tag a comment left? The reason I ask is that there is a wealth of information on the Bread the MaryJane way thread along with others. It would be nice to tag/sticky a post to go back to. I have the subscription set up, but as the pages build up, its hard to remember where a certain recipe or suggestion was found. Just an idea.

Posted - Feb 18 2009 : 05:19:56 AM Thanks for checking into this Gabe. I will bookmark any pages I find tips on that I would like to keep. I am very computer illiterate, so have no idea how this would be acheived, was just a thought. I surely know there is a lot more that goes into it than just clicking a button though. Thanks again!

Posted - Feb 17 2009 : 2:46:49 PM I think I understand what you want, but I'm not sure I totally follow how you hope to achieve it.
I will point out that you could, for now, bookmark a particular page. So, when you click a particular topic — the Bread topic for example — you would go to the initial page: http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=28238
If you then find a great tip on page 15, the URL at the top is: http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=28238&whichpage=15
If you then bookmark that, and give it an appropriate name to remind you which tip (or tips) were on that page (Firefox also has tags you could apply to your bookmarks), you'd then be able to find it via your web browser again, at any rate, even if not from within our forum itself.
When I have a moment, I can look to see if there are any add-ins that let you mark or tag or otherwise denote a specific reply within a topic. |
