Posted - Sep 30 2005 : 09:40:08 AM Hi again Michele. I just went to the Snitz forum help site, and saw similar problems there that were cleared up by clearing your cookies. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\(your computer user name)\Cookies\ and look for anything with Snitz in it and delete it. Log out before you do this. I just looked on my computer and I have 2 files:
myusername@snitz.txt and myusername@forum.snitz.txt
If you view your files by date order, you should see both of these at the top of the window. Also scroll down the list to see if there are other, older files and delete them as well.
People experiencing similar problems reported that this did fix those problems.
Thanks! Carol

Posted - Sep 30 2005 : 09:07:58 AM Hi Michele. I'm sorry, but I don't have any idea why it would be doing these things. Although I do think it sounds like a computer problem, and not a forum problem. Have you changed any of your settings in your web browser or downloaded an update to your browser? Or have you been experiencing other problems with your browser? It might be corrupted by a virus or worm. Last spring, I downloaded some music on my home computer, and immediately got some kind of virus that I can't get rid of -- my computer is cleaned, but it kind of "took over" my browser -- I don't have any search options anymore and I can't seem to set my preferences in regard to cookies or popups. Just an example of how one of these things can affect a browser. AND, I can't uninstall Internet Explorer or download a new one over it -- I'm just left to use Netscape as my browser. I'm going to go to the Snitz site (link at the bottom right of each page) and see if there's anything like this in their forums. You could look there too if you like.
Thanks Michele - hope we can get this cleared up for you! Carol |

Posted - Sep 30 2005 : 06:56:26 AM Hi again, I logged out. Went back in and logged on, saved password, went to active topics, my username doesnt show. No matter what forum I go to after I've logged in, my name doesnt show. When I post anywhere, if I dont pit my user name & password in on EACH post. it wont go through. That never happen before. Am I missing something? Im not the most computer savvy person but I never had that problem before. Thanks, Michele Like now, Im loggen in, I will go to post this and it will say There is a problem, I need to login before I can post. I am logged in. So at the top of this I will have to login again or it wont go through. Michele

Posted - Sep 30 2005 : 06:48:18 AM Hi Clare, I'm doing the same thing I've always done. I would always just login, go to any topic, post it & have no problem. For some reason, It wont post anything until I login again everytime I post something. I'll go back out and try again. Thanks, Michele

Posted - Sep 29 2005 : 08:15:35 AM Hi Carol, yes, it's still doing it. I logon, go to a forum and after I type and send it, it tells me there is a problem. I have to logon to everything before I can send it. I wrote this and hit post new reply, it said there was a problem. I have to log into every post before it will go through. Thanks, Michele

Posted - Sep 28 2005 : 4:40:23 PM Hi Michele. Are you still experiencing problems logging in? I'm guessing that maybe our site was down when you tried to post, and it "glitched" and asked you to log in twice. Let me know if it's still doing that.
Thanks! Carol |
