Clare, My sister wants to join the forum. She tried registering last night and when she tried to post it said invalid user/password. It seemed like she did all the steps right...I told her that her cookies may be disabled. I am computer challenged and so is she...how does one enable cookies? Thanks!

Hi everyone.
Here's how the registration process works now:

You register, following the instructions under the "register" link. Then I receive a notification of members "waiting to be authenticated." I then follow a process here to authenticate each user, then send them an e-mail telling them that they can begin posting to the forum. I'm checking the Connection a few times each day (including morning, evenings and weekends), so it's not too long between registration time and authentication time.

Thanks for all your participation and support!
Carol

I get the alert that I have received a reply but then I am not sure where to go to find the reply!

life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and
screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Thank you MeadowLark!! A big smile when your reply came thru. I did go to the welcome wagon and printed directions. Sometimes the easiest is the hardest to figure out.

Hi Gracie, Clare and Eileen are the forum moderators...All I can advise you to do to help get your bearings here is to go to the Welcome Wagon topic and there you will find a thread called New Members Tips, written very well by Clare to give you guidance on using this forum. Hope this helps... By the way, Welcome!!!! Jenny from Kansas
