Hi again folks! Here's a link to the BACKWOODS HOME forum where my article on building a chicken coop is posted! When they bought it I thought it was going into the "print" edition but they decided to use it on their web site!

Writing is how I'm making additional money for my homestead!

Suzy -- my daughter sent me this link the other day. What a wonderful idea. I have printed it out and hope to give it a try. Great article!

Wow, great timing and nice article. My eleven year old is planning his own organic egg business. He plans to build the coop and house this spring/summer and order the chicks next spring - 30 of them. Meanwhile he is researching his markets.

What a great idea. I wonder if you can have standing rabbit cages set up inside a paddock that is for the goats and just turn out the chickens into the goat paddock during the day? I don't imagine that the goats would mess with either the chickens or rabbits, and if you have a LGD, they'd take care of them all... (unless they eat rabbit, which might negate the whole idea...)
