marjean	Posted - Sep 01 2016 : 12:22:38 PM For anyone wanting to open an Etsy shop here are some tips for you before you get started. Here is some homework for you to do on Etsy. Type in the title of what you will be selling: Example: crochet baby hat in the search box before you sign-in to your account. See all the listings on the first page? Study each of them. Open them one by one and then click on the shop name to go to their home page. See how many items are in their shop. How many Sold items they have. The ones with high sales are the ones to study. Low sales move on to the next and so on. What categories they have. How many items total in their shop. When did they open. This will give you an idea of your competition and what you have to do to compete with this market. It takes time and patience to be successful online. Don't give up! Take it one day at a time. Having help getting your SEO done right will make all the difference in getting sales and not getting sales. What do you plan on selling? Be sure to check the market to see if there is a need and that folks want that kind of thing. There are some items that don't do well if it is a saturated market.
