Posted - Jul 19 2013 : 5:16:47 PM I have seen so many beautiful websites on this site. I am ready to build one. Can anyone advise me the best way to go? Free or a fee to maintain? I would very much appreciate any direction or site to use for this. Thanks. Tracy

Posted - Aug 01 2013 : 08:19:28 AM I went to school for website design and coding, but I graduated in 2006... couldn't find a job in it for our area and lost a lot of the knowledge. At least I still have some of my code books so I use those for basic web design. I did RhodesGardenCenter.com and BerndtGuideService.com but as they are relatives they don't count as paying customers. Eh, its experience. I have yet to do sites with shopping carts. I looked over that weebly site. Looks good, I don't like how they don't give you further information before making you sign up tho. I was interested in what each plan gives you specifically. Guess I'll have to sign up to find out. Our woodworking and craft biz needs a website with a shopping cart. But alas, I have not done that kind yet. Better to try and fail on my own site then a client's eh?

Posted - Jul 20 2013 : 01:40:02 AM Hi Tracy,
weebly.com is good for a basic site but it has no extras as far as inventory control, invoices, postal settings. but i feel it's a great website to use start out because it's SO simple to setup. with the other providers, it would benefit you if you already knew something about website building, or you might find it frustrating. http://www.weebly.com/link/ksIq4c
i use weebly to sell my sewing machine parts. I use Magento for my soap website which i pay 25.00 a month. this is a good deal because i use to pay 40 a month with yahoo and volusion. i'm real happy with magento so far.
if you've never built a website, i highly recommend weebly. it's easy and free and you can make a real nice website. http://www.weebly.com/link/ksIq4c
