Posted - Jul 16 2013 : 4:06:08 PM A couple of years ago I got in on the bottom floor of what is now the "FARMMADE" SITE. What was it called originally? Farmgirl? I have not had the time to list any items for sale there since the inception of the new site. I was just wondering if anyone is selling there and if so, are you getting many buyers? I was very excited about it in the beginning but once it fell through and had to be re -worked my free time has diminished some since then. Just wondering if it is worth my while to give it a shot. I have some PDF stitchery patterns that I would like to sell.

Posted - Aug 08 2013 : 07:49:50 AM Thanks for the input CJ. I really need to get going on my Facebook page. I started a business page for my etsy shop "The Pattern Shack" but didn't really know what kind of content to add so it is sitting blank. I think I need a Facebook class! I hate to say it but I decided to give Farmmade a shot. Signed up last week and already there's a problem. There's some kind of gliche and my info won't save. I have contacted them and they are working on it. UGH! I haven't listed anything yet.

Posted - Aug 08 2013 : 06:00:08 AM CJ, I'm glad to know you are doing great with the farmers market.
I was told to try our local farmers market as a good source to sell the handmade products too. I will be getting that going in the Fall when our temps cool down. It's just too hot here in FL to make it worth the effort in this humidity!

Posted - Aug 07 2013 : 5:50:25 PM Melanie, I was part of Farmmade from the very beginning as well, but sales were almost nonexistent and I just have not been able to stay with them through all the issues. I've actually been able to sell quite a bit from my product Facebook page. But I do really well at our local Farmers Market and this is my 6th year doing it. What is amazing is that because of market I now have a pretty steady flow of sales to repeat . . . and repeat . . . customers. It's hard to find what really works well. Wishing you the best in your search and endeavors! CJ

Posted - Jul 24 2013 : 06:59:39 AM i signed up with farmmade 4 years ago...they seem to have non stop issues. always working on something. i finally backed out. liked the concept, but it never came to fruition. too many issues, things not working. every week i was told, "launching next week"...4 yrs and counting. maybe someday it will launch. we'll see. i highly recommend weebly. you can have your own site up in days, not years.

Posted - Jul 24 2013 : 05:39:19 AM Sarah,
I'm glad you told me that. I thought they had launched. I contacted them this week to ask if they had the capacity to immediately send PDF files for patterns. Not yet, but they are working on it. I assumed they were charging sellers. Like I said in my first post, I was in from the inception so would like to give it a shot. Once they truly launch who are they going to launch to?

Posted - Jul 23 2013 : 6:16:28 PM I also use Weebly for my own personal website, and I use Farmmade and Etsy to sell my things. Farmmade is still trying to build up it's site before they truly launch, and I'm waiting patiently (sort of!). The only buyer I had on their was the owner, so no, not lots of sales happening. I am hanging in there for the launch. They aren't charging anything for the moment anyway. Just some thoughts. Hope they helped!
