I had a sale on my Etsy shop (I think it was a farmgirl sister) and I have a possible p/t bookkeeping job, at least I answered a Craigslist ad, and he wants to talk next week. I have a little trouble 'closing the sale' as they say, so save a good thought for me next week.

How's all of your businesses going?

I agree - the antler chimes look great. Should be a hit with folks with cabin/lodge decor.

sis - howdy! send me some pics!

I've been offline for a bit - family issues then computer issues, but I scanned pics for several sewing patterns and a few older western novels that I'm going to list to sell. I also have 2 sets of 50's luncheon dishes, glass decorative plates for like a salad or sandwich, with matching cups that I'm going to list. One set is shaped like apples, the other kind of roundish.

Bookkeeping leads don't seem to pan out for me right now. Keep trying, I guess.

Fleamarket season is coming up, and I know I'll find some good deals there to sell.

Wow, the antler was a pretty good size. Are they shedding already in your area? Ours aren't yet that I know of -maybe they are and I just don't know what I'm talking about!

Goneriding, I'm anxious to see a set of those windchimes. Sounds cool!

knitpickinatune, I hope the new shop does well for you!

Thank you. Hubby is making windchimes with deer antler sheds. They look fab and I want to keep every one, which doesn't help business! I need to get a decent background in my pictures. The weather has been bad and so we didn't get any good pics, just inside ones. My daughter said the ones we had looked bad. That doesn't help either. So, we have to set up a good place for pics. I do have one pic up on etsy.

I've had a few sales on Bonanza, doing all that I can to get customers to move there & away from the eBay store. Etsy is very slow-tho I'm promoting it thru ads in Fiddler Magazine & sent a blurb to Strings magazine. So we'll see what happens. Am wanting to do a classified ad in "Hobby Farm Home" magazine for Mandolin Babe's.

Glad you are making headway. I haven't had anything in my etsy shop, but, then again, I had some trouble with shipping. Finally, I have it figgered out!! I also did a little shop on Bonanza, and, truth be told, I think I like them better. I just started it, so, not expecting too much at the moment. Hubby is toiling away on the windchimes, only we can't find enough deer antlers!! All of our neighbors are on the look-out for us though!!

We have our eyes on the farmer's markets and the flea market too. Strange thing, I've never noticed them much before, now, I see them ALL! I'm working on making things to stock our booth. The online stuff is icing on the cake if something happens there. I think there are just too many little shops and it's easy to get lost. So, locally may be a better way for me for the time being, with Spring coming on and all.
