I am looking for some sort of work I can do from home. My husband is ill and I need to be at home more. I do work full time right now and it makes it hard when I have to take off so much to take him to the doctor, etc. I am crocheting dishcloths, and I do want to make more handcrafted items. Since allot of you ladies have shops on Etsy, Art Fire, and really nice things on your blogs, I was hoping for some ideas and advice.

Thank you for your suggestion. That's a good idea I hadn't thought of. I do sew, but it has been awhile since I've made anything. I am really not good enough to alter, but I wish I was. You can make good money doing that. I had thought about just making craft items or things for the home. I looked at your items and you do really good work. I really like the charms too.

Thanks again, #3259

I thought of something else - alterations - if you can sew that is a great work from home job. I have a friend whose husband passed away. She wanted to be at home with the kids but needed to work. She started working for a few bridal places and word spread like wildfire. She does lots of prom dresses, pants, etc. Her house usally looks like a bridal shop but I think she probably does pretty well.
