Posted - Aug 06 2011 : 11:50:29 AM I am tossing the idea of how to give my business cards out, along with a special gift, for the first Farmer's Market sale next year.
Check it out on my blog and tell me what you think.

Posted - Aug 22 2011 : 3:04:29 PM speaking of the insurance racket . . . I went to the other dentist on our program, and they cleaned my 17 yo's teeth in one visit - not 3. I also found out the other dentist charges less than the first one we went to. It pays to do some checking.
Glad you are following my blog. I just posted a few updates.
Thanks for your advice on selling my handicrafts.

Posted - Aug 11 2011 : 10:06:51 PM The good thing is that freebies are always in season. I don't know what you are selling. I routinely dress up scrap soap as guest soaps to give away. If I have something that's been hanging around the table for too long I will give it as a freebie to a regular customer. It's great for building relationships with customers. That is what people want these days. They want to know who made it and how they made it, etc. They don't want broadcast advertising anymore (you know the t.v. screaming "Sunday Sunday Sunday Rock Bottom Prices!!!")
I loved both your blogs. Girl, don't even get me started on that health insurance racket...

Posted - Aug 10 2011 : 2:30:13 PM You can always start out small with the giveaways, as well. :) At the farmers market I sold baked goods at sometimes I thought about giving out marshmallows in little bags (The homemade ones). :) Food is always a winner!

Posted - Aug 07 2011 : 08:41:26 AM i think it's a clever idea.....the old (former)tupperware lady in me thinks you should have them sign up for a drawing of some sort- to be given away at a later date farm mkt---if they give you their name and info -email for newsletter or something??? you give them the cd case with the biz card and cup coaster..that way you have some clue as to who is looking and maybe can develop a newsletter list of upcoming specials or whatever- develop a following! and get them back to the market on sucandsuch a date for the drawing... just an idea- but on it's own i love your card idea....
