Hello farmgirls!

I'm coordinating the Billings Backyard Hen Initiative, a local group of citizens with the two-fold purpose of passing pro-backyard-hen ordinances for Billings, MT and for public education/support in their own efforts toward raising micro-flocks.

July 23 is the date of our first Magic City Chicken Expo. We'll be putting on a family-oriented event looking to raise awareness of urban chickens, introduce vendors to potential customers, help people "meet" chickens who have never met one hand-to-feather before, and give everyone a chance to get outside in our beautiful Montana sunshine.

So... we need vendors! Do you (or your family, or friends) build cool chicken coops? Raise started pullets? Sell funky chicken t-shirts? Make killer breakfast tacos with local eggs? Market composters? Want to teach a Chicken Keeping class???

Contact me! I'd love to visit with you about putting some FARMGIRL in this Expo! We have at least 4 local MJFarmgirls involved in the group already, but, this sisterhood could possibly benefit from even more, so I wanted to mention it to ya'll!

I don't know if your tractor supply store in billings sells chicks in the spring, but you may want to contact them also to see if they would be interested in also being in your expo, they have the equipment that could be sold to those interested, approuch the manager with a solid plan and they may surprise you with what they are willing to supply
