Posted - Mar 21 2011 : 10:09:39 AM Well, I'd like to know what you girls think of my business. Since I can't work for a company right now [dyslexic and physicaly disabled] I decided I would fill a need. Around here people don't clean up their doggie doo doo during the winter snows. Lives quite an impression when the snow melts though! I thought I'd offer a one time shot cleaning up their yards for the coming BBQ season. What do ya' think?

Posted - Apr 15 2011 : 07:54:37 AM i think this is an awesome idea. taking the lemons you get and making lemonade and going the step further by selling the lemonade. i am wondering what your logo will look like? maybe some sort of doggie helping you scoop? well not sure on that? so what would be yours? i scoop poop here everyday. cow plops are huge. LOL if i pay anyone here for work its for poop scooping. happy days sherrye

Posted - Mar 23 2011 : 9:21:25 PM Carla - I am pretty sure this is the service I saw on the documentary - it has some pretty interesting "scoop" on pet production of poop, so I thought I'd share! http://www.doodiedeeds.com/ Hugs - Nini

Posted - Mar 22 2011 : 10:29:41 PM Try to see if a dog park near you has a bulletin board and post your sign. Also, see if obedience classes will let you post. Also, humane society (pound) may have a bulletin board.
If your city requires a business license, get the license. When you make some money, get insurance on yourself so that you can say you are city licensed and bonded. If a dog gets out and they sue you, your insurance picks up the cost. Just some smart protection. |

Posted - Mar 21 2011 : 6:29:23 PM Hey Carla,
I think you would do well. Be sure to wear gloves and a mask so you don't inhale anything. I would also contact local lawn care companies. They may have customers that would be willing to hire you.

Posted - Mar 21 2011 : 1:08:17 PM I haven't heard of any business like this in my area, but with two dogs I would definately consider having someone clean my yard every so often. Good luck Carla!

Posted - Mar 21 2011 : 10:14:44 AM There are quite a few people in my area who advertise to clean up yards in the spring and then set up a weekly or bi-weekly visit.
Good luck on your venture.
