Lessie, I took a peek at your shop and if it's alright, I have a few suggestions.

Brighter photos would be good. On the listings that it would apply to, add measurements.

Take advantage of the categories. You have quite a few different things listed, and if you had categories, it would make it easier for the shopper to browse your offerings.

For your profile, tell a little about yourself. Shoppers love to know something about what who they're buying from.

It would also be a good idea to have some policies on view. Do you have a return policy?

There are quite a few folks on etsy who can make a banner for your shop. Some are more affordable than others. Just do a search for shop banners. It would be *purdy*!!!

Put some keywords in your title and add more keyword content to your descriptions.

Use your tags to full advantage. Tags are to describe the item. For instance, I noticed in one of your apron tags, "smoke free home" the apron is not a smoke free home. Use tags to state what it is. What kind of fabric. What kind of colors. Pattern on fabric. Pockets. Sash, etc

Having said all that, I think you're off to a great start with 12 sales!

Put a link in your signature, make announcements here when you wpload new items.

Don't be discouraged, I use to do ebay also, but no more.

I just saw that, and I added you too. I love the items you have listed. I am just trying to figure Etsy out, I tend to be a slow learner! Have a good day, Carol

Great! I added your shop to my favorites and my "circle" whatever that is! When I purchase things from Etsy I am going to try and use farmgirl shops.

Have a great day.

HI,

Can you put your etsy shop link in your address here so I can check them out and add them to my favorites. I want to try and support the ladies here when I am looking for gifts, etc.

Thanks
Alexix

I just started an etsy shop too! I have a bunch of stuff to add to it, I just don't have time! I can't figure out how to put a neat banner up... Is it hard or time consuming to figure out?

Hi Carol,
I emailed you from your etsy with a question. Did you get your answer to what "tagging" means? Those are the words you use to describe your product when your listing it on etsy. There are 14 spaces and you should use them all.

For your doll blankets you can put doll blanket, crochet blanket, etc..And, in your description if your items are made in a smoke-free home or pet-free home you should list that. Those things are very important to buyers.

If you'd like to join my co-op website and link your shops contact me. It is only $5.00 a month and your first month is free.

I do not want to sound dumb, but what do you mean by "tag"? I sell some of the same things on ebay and they always sell, I am a little discouraged with etsy, but do plan to add a few more things soon.

One thing is to keep adding to your shop...make it as full as possible so more people can find things. Also tag everything so people can find what they are looking for.

I think sharing on the MFJ Forum is a great way to advertise your Etsy shop. I just placed an order! I like to support my fellow Farmgirls.
