I have a small shop on our property where I sell my homemade craft stuff and I also did up a flyer for alterations and sewing. Well after almost ten months I now have two alteration jobs. One is a pair of pants but the other is eight pairs of curtains in velvet and brocade. I am so excited that I finally have something and hopefully through word of mouth will get more. This lady is redoing her fabric things in her house so I'm hoping she will give me more jobs.
I am hoping this is a turning point for better things to come.

Give thanks to yourself everyday for all the wonderful things you do!

That's great Ingrid! Good for you! I do pray that your business grows and you'll soon have to be turning away people because you have too much work :)

Good Luck! And don't be afraid to put yourself out there with those first customers -- let them know that you're looking for more work, and that you would appreciate any referrals they can send your way! Maybe make up a few home-made magnets for your customers to keep on their fridge, so your info will always be close if a friend is looking for someone to hem their drapes!

Wonderful news Ingrid! Good luck with your business. Just think of all the grand things your happy customers are going to be passing along to their friends! If only you were closer I'd have some curtains for you also. Although I try, I'm not one for alterations of any kind.

Smiling & Waving,
Sharon
