You've all been so supportive! You're all great cheerleaders for girls trying new things! Thanks. Here are some things I made.
The open sandwich wraps fold sides in around the sandwich in the middle. Then you fold the bottom up, the top down. Tie around with the tie. You can use either side of cloth actually, and the two cloth pieces are "sandwiched" around a waterproof inner layer. The fabrics are all cotton on these and the big floral looks like barkcloth but is really a large weave similar to monkscloth.
The clothespin bags are made from infant/toddler clothes. The shirt and the overalls have wooden hoops sewn into the bottoms. The dress has a cotton "petticoat" which I sewed shut as the "bag". I might add some more flowers and accents to these before I put them up for sale.
I have about 4 more clothespin bags coming, 5 more sandwich wraps and cloth bowl covers that aren't done yet.
Would love to get some feedback. I think I'll try to figure out Etsy and then put them in the Marketplace forum.

I'm so glad you liked them. I use them all the time now. As we run out of the various bags and such we already had, I'm just replacing them with reusable homemade options. No bags, no baggies, no ziplocks - no saran wrap. It's feels so nice to lighten the load - and the trash! |

These sandwich wraper things are so cool!
When I showed my daughter how to use them she though the were
cool too.

Thanks for the pictures! That really helped me to see how they
worked. Loved it!!
I only mentioned ginghams as something to keep your eye out for
them. I'm totally into vintage and recycled materials.
 I can write checks out really fast.

Thanks for the encouragement! I'll get them to Etsy this week I think. Or can I sell them directly from Marketplace on this board? If I did, it would be check in the mail as I don't have a payment system set up.
Frontierlady: Here's a pictorial guide to the wrap. It's rounded or else there would be corners sticking out as it folds.
The pix aren't in correct order, and I had to use a bagel because it seems we're out of bread...hmmm...
Put the sandwich in the middle. Fold in sides. Fold up bottom. Fold over top and wrap and tie the ribbon tie.

They were a bit more expensive to make with the waterproof lining, but I think $5-$8 depending on whether the fabrics are truly vintage (cost me more) or simply reclaimed cottons. The ginghams I saw in the stores were so thin. And I prefer to recycle material anyway even if that means using pieces of new material that someone is getting rid of because their stash is too unwieldy and they would trash it rather than pass it along. |

I love the idea of the sandwich wraper.
Can I ask how it works? Why is it round? I was thinking it
would look more like a square. What do I know!
I would like to see fabric in gingham and country prints.
Do you have anything like that?
After you answer these questions.....How much do I owe you?

I love those clothespin bags!!! I'd love to have one like the little red floral jumper!!! Guess I'd better get out to some thrift stores and see what I can find! :)

I gotta have the clothespin bag on the top row!! How many monies? Sheesh and I don't even have a clothesline yet! But these are just too cute!
And the sandwich wrappers are darling and so practical!! Makes me wish I had someplace to take my lunch!
