Hello friends,

I want to share something special with you. My Aunt, Marilynn, who is 67 years old, just self-published her first children's book. It is about a fairy named Periwinkle.

Now, I know that I am biased, but it is truly a wonderful little book. Since she self-published it, she chose not to invest tons of money into it without knowing how the book would be received. This makes the little book very affordable to the consumer. The cover is in color, and the text and sketches within are in b/w.

The story line is filled with essential, and subtle, family values, and about the learning adventures of any small child, whether humans or fairies! It truly is delightful and enchanting.

I am so proud of her and wanted to help her get the word out, that I created a basic little web site for her, which has a preview of the work and an order form to print and send off if you want to receive a copy.

You can view the web site here: http://mysite.verizon.net/resp6tco/

Please feel free to pass this info on to any persons you think would be interested in a wonderful story about the world fairies.

Thanks!
Clare

Adorable, and love the illustrations, especially the unfurling fern fronds! Hats off to your talented aunt. I'll pass the word along. Have a great day, Nance.

Update: Book signing dates have been added to the web site. If you're in Michigan, you're in luck! Lots of events to choose from. Don't miss it!

Hello girls! Thanks for your enthusiasm!!

I'm not exactly sure about the self-publishing, but she did mention to me that she purchased a really good reference book on the subject and that she's been following it to a "T"... and she did admit that she'd made some "boners"!! So it must be a very thorough and tedious process.

Patricia- Yes, just mail in your order with the order form that you can print from the web page. I'm sure she'll be willing to sign any books that you purchase! Just ask!

Cheerio!

Good for her! I LOVE it when people use their talents. Children's books are a passion of mine (might have something to do with having children, and running a daycare)
Can you tell us how she went about self publishing the book? What a GREAT idea!

Please tell your Aunt that we are all proud of her!
