Posted - Mar 22 2006 : 12:21:50 PM Hi everyone, I have only been here for a few days, but I am learning so much. I mostly sit here doing nothing because I have morning sickness, and if I get up and move around much well, it just isn't good.
So here's my situation. I have tried to start a web development business and even have one, but I never get any business. I work reasonable and wonder if anyone here would like help building a website for themselves.
The other thing I have been working on is how to use one or two boughten patterns to make a whole slug of girls dresses. I was showing photos on my web page with step by step instructions. It seems like a good idea but now I question myself. It is about how to convert other clothes like jeans and jeans skirts into dresses for little girls. It is also about how to dress more modestly in our constantly becoming more immodest as time goes by.
I try to follow these guidelines, garment should have some sort of sleeve, be no lower that 2 fingers breadth under the collarbone, and not be tight. I like to wear skirts or dresses that reach to the bottom of the knee and are not tight. I can't find any. I thought other ladies might have trouble too. My Mama was a tailor so I know how to sew but most women don't. Does this seem like a good idea? Do you girls think people would use it? I don't even really care if I make any money, I just want to do SOMETHING that feels like I am doing something good I guess. I give everything to my family and I love every minute, but this feels so right to me. I guess I feel like I will do all this stuff then flop on my face, because this takes HOURS and HOURS to construct each garment, then write the instructions. And would anyone pay for this type of service? That would be nice, I thought about just accepting donations. I did complete one section on how to convert an old button up ladies denim skirt into a button up dress for a little girl. Easy, takes about an hour, and cost me about $4.50 that't pretty cheap for me. So what do you think? Is this useful? I just don't want to fail. |

Posted - Mar 23 2006 : 10:03:46 AM I don't have the site posted yet, it's just in the makings. I have made all the pages, written the css and even completed one project. I haven't posted yet. I could post it on another site I use. I will get that done today and you guys can tell me if it looks good. I apprieciate that at least someone thinks it's a good idea. My husband does, but he's my husband you know? I will try and get it posted and get back with you. Thanks.
