I have been trying to find a way to sell my quilts, and handmade items. I was planning on having a big fall "Quilt Sale" in my yard this fall........long story short.......I am moving off my busy street into a smaller, quieter neighborhood(YAAAAAHHHHHHH)

So what I am wondering is. Is an Etsy store worth the time and money? Are you really selling your items? My items are very reasonably priced. I simply do them for fun and would like to make a little mad money from them.

Any advice??????
Thanks a bunch
Arttie

Oh I agree Arttie, Etsy is wonderful. As far as the computer aspect, its pretty simple. Its very guided and there are help articles everywhere. There is also a forum where you can ask questions. I've been on for almost a year and love love love it!
We've sold close to 100 items now and my husband even opened his own shop!
Good Luck!

In my opinion it's cheaper to sell on Etsy (for you the seller). Also more people on Etsy are looking for handmade things that aren't as "cheap" as they are on ebay.

YES! It is worth it and you will make money! Etsy is getting to be very popular and I love it so much I have 2 little shops! Martha Stewart even has artisans from Esty come on her show and teach! Women just like you and me! Good luck! Let me know if you open a shop!!!!

Hugs!

What is the difference between an etsy shop or ebay? I find looking at the etsy places are much nicer. But, I'm new at this stuff. I would love to try my hand at this etsy thing, but it really looks like alot of involvement just with the computer. The computer and I don't get along too good. LOL

Arttie,
I love etsy , it took me awhile to start seling things but Ive sold 55 items and have been selling a little over a year. You might also want to check into artfire.com that will give you 2 different places to look at selling you can compare prices as far as listings and ect... Anyways I hope that helps. What ever you decide let us know Id love to see them. Blessings,Karen
