What do you seasoned sellers like? What is your setup?

Thanks in advance for your time,

Mandy

Mandy,
I purchase the brown wax sandwich bags at a local health food store. I have seen growers using the white bags, however the brown are much more nastalgic.

Where are you getting the brown wax sandwich bags?
Thanks,
M

We also use the old produce stand look. An old wooden crate turned on it#347; side propped up a bit by a wooden block, with a gunny sack stapled to the inside of the crate for added charm. Then we use wicker baskets, and some ratan baskets made long ago by my husband to hold our produce. The produce itself is in brown wax sandwich bags, which have really added to the look. Atop each bag is an edible flower. Either nasturium, pansy, stella de oro or a violet. People absolutely love it. It adds such a flair, and the natural colored bags give it an all natural look. Which goes well with our organically grown produce. They are always scooped up in a hurry, and the flowers always draw people in for a closer look and a comment of how beautiful the display is. Try to do something out of the ordinary, it always draws attention to your stand. Be creative!
Best to you,
Lynner

what did you display in the ladder and on the ironing board?

oh that would be a good look Kim. very home style, but definitely a "working farm" theme to the tables would give it definitely more appeal.

I like the old produce stand look. I have used old wooden apple crates, wooden ladders, wooden ironing boards for fairs. checkered table clothes. The wooden boxes are heavy though.
