Ok how many of yall are participating in your local markets?? I am back in one on sats we have done our 3 time and with the baked goods i am doin now my sales are up!! YEAH!! thank goodness!! So this week i am headed off hopefully more than twice to bake for sat market. Last week i had a lady stop by the house to our farmstand and wants me to join in on another market 10 min from our home and it is on fridays 8-2 so that will really help, i had to fill out an application as this one was full the last 2 yrs i tried to get in. Who would think a farmers market would have a waiting list like a craft show huh??
Was just curious how many gals here do markets~~
Have a super Tues yall~~~

We have an awesome farmers markets here. We have one on Thursday and a huge one on Saturday. They closed down the main street downtown and it is unreal! I went for the first time late last summer. I was like a kid in a candy store. I had to go home and get my granny cart (as my kids called it) and filled it twice with fresh goodies. Beef, chicken, bakery, dairy, veggies, flowers and on and on and on. It was so exciting I went back every weekend. The downside is I have an empty nest and my dh and I can only eat so much and I wasted too much. My goal this year is to not buy to much and to use all I buy. Our market opens up Saturday and I will be there granny cart in tow. Good luck!

Darlene,
I am the assistant market manager for our local farmers market and I am loving it. I work with some of the best people and venders. I dont know about your state but in washington state a farmers market can only have a certain percentage of crafters so depending on what someone is selling may determine where they are on the list....This year we are hosting learning oppertunities every week which allows us to have guest venders come and talk on biodiesels, grass fed beed, raw milk and the likes.. SO far, so good!

Sounds like you will be busy baking ! Hope you sell out! Our closest farmers market is 16 miles away, so, I have never been there when it is on.
