Hey ladies there are a couple of writing opportunities that you may want to check into at About.com http://beaguide.about.com/topics.htm. The Family Business and Work From Home Mom guides looked like something one of you may want to look into. There are LOTS more.

I have recieved my first 2 checks so it is nice! You start out making around $725.00 per month after you get through your prep period.

GOOD LUCK!

Tamara, well, I did it! I submitted an application and sample of my writing! I took the flying leap. We'll see what happens. I applied for the 'stay-at-home-moms' topic, which is right my up alley. I have no idea what to expect but it was a fun exercise. I appreciate the heads-up and I'll keep you posted. Much laughter to you, ~julia

Sorry for the delay in responding! My internet was down and now I am catching up on my writing!!

I encourage anyone interested to apply. If you go to http://beaguide.about.com/topics.htmand look in the right column there is an APPLY button. Just click and go.

Tips - 1. When applying be sure to clearly state what makes you the best person for the job. 2. Write to the audience - make them want to read. 3. There is a lot of initial work so keep on top of it. 4. Have fun with it - your writin will reflect it! Good luck to all that are applying!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks so much for the lead! My mom just retired from teaching preschool last week and two of the topics are perfect for her (grandparents and parents of preschoolers).

karin - That is how I felt about doing my small farm site at About.com .. YOU MEAN I GET PAID FOR THIS!!!! It is a LOT of initial work, but they are a good group to work for and are very willing to work with you. I now average around 6 hours a week working on the site

The topics do change so check back often!

So neat! Do the available topics change often? I don't see any I'm interested in yet, but would check in often to see if something struck my fancy :)

What a great opportunity!
