I just wanted to share with you the process of pinestraw baling. I won't fill up space with all the photos. I have a good many on my site if you want to see more. Here is where we were working yesterday. 
We planted these trees about 12-14 years ago. We baled 35 bales yesterday. Picking up sticks is the most time consuming part.
Here is a bale of pinestraw ready to be taken out of the baler.
My husband stacked the finished bales in the barn loft. We hope by next month to have a good many ready to sale.I hope it helps with property tax and everything else that has doubled in price.

ya know that's what I thought that thing was but didn't mention it..I thought o.k. that looks like a straw baler.

Thanks Alee, that is more than I knew about pinestraw on those sites.
Sherri, we just load the pinestraw in the baler and press it down, add more straw and keep pressing it down until it doesn't hold anymore. Then we use string, nylon type because we found it works the best and loop it around the bale and tie it. It all sounds easy but it really is a lot of work, but enjoyable work since we are able to do the work on our own property. I have more pictures on my blog. I just hated to put so many photos on here and take up room.
